I had such an amazing Mother’s Day this year… Even though everyday is Mother’s Day for my Mami! I try to tell her everyday how much I love and appreciate her. I appreciate the sacrifices she made for me and my sister. I appreciate her showing us what it REALLY means to be a strong, independent, hard working woman! She’s the best! She always has a kind word to say… and the warmest genuine hugs! She has shown me the TRUE meaning of unconditional love! I LOVE YOU WITH ALL OF MY HEART MAMI!

My Mother is a woman of God… She raised us in church and taught us that the most important relationship we could have is one with God. So just like old times… We headed to The Lower East Side of NYC where I was raised. We attend a church called PCC – Primitive Christian Church. Everyone there is like family! I was raised in the building across the street from church so I was ALWAYS there! My mom was superintendent of the children’s ministries and ran an after school program in the basement among other cool activities she put together for the kids of the church and the community.
 
This was a VERY special Mother’s Day this year because it was My Sister’s FIRST as a MOTHER! My Niece Jet Marie is officially 2 months old and it was her first trip to church! I loved having us all there… it means so much to me. I love that we take up a whole row!!! Ha. It was My sister Claudette, Her Husband Gerd, Baby Jet, My Mom, Papa Joe, My mom’s sister… My 2nd Mom – Titi Fuji, Her Daughter – My cousin Diane and my Cousin Jorge!

After Church we headed to my new favorite restaurant for Brunch… HOSPADA and had a feast! The Beer draught tasting was amazing! We laughed til’ we cried. This was definitely a memorable Mother’s day! Checkout the pics! With the familia I rock my glasses… So, please excuse my Nerd Swag! Ha

I am obsessed with blush and bronzer! I love a little highlight and shimmer! Going with my “Golden” Look for the summer… I found the perfect blush and highlighting set by Mally Roncal!

It’s the pure light highlighter and effortless peach blush duo! It’s Perfect for that sun kissed glow!

These babies are soft and smooth. They really do blend effortlessly. I find this lasts all day on my skin. The highlighter gives a gorgeous glow! The cheek color is an amazing peachy-coral-pink that I think would be super flattering across all skin tones. I wouldn’t describe it as shimmer or matte, but more of a satin finish!
